Rousi, Erik

Erik Rousi is known for his powerful, yet beautiful bass-baritone voice. He has a wide repertoire, ranging from the baroque, through lieder, to dramatic German operatic literature. Erik’s vocal technique has been hailed as “sovereign” and “accomplished”, while his interpretations have received praise as “extremely strong” and “filling the room with energy and warmth”.

Rousi’s operatic repertoire includes such roles as Rocco (Beethoven: Fidelio), Figaro (Mozart: Le nozze di Figaro), Scarpia (Puccini: Tosca), Filippo II (Verdi: Don Carlo), Daland (Wagner: Der fliegende Holländer), Der Wanderer (Wagner: Siegfried), Wotan (Wagner: Das Rheingold), Wotan (Wagner: Die Walküre) and Kaspar (Weber: Der Freischütz).
