Alba Records (Uittamon Äänite Oy) is a Finnish label. Alba mainly publishes classical music, but also some jazz and world music.
Alba is the only domestically owned record label in Finland focused on classical music. Alba is known for its high-quality recordings and has won numerous awards. For example, the Emma Awards (Finnish Grammy´s) for Classical Music have been awarded 15 times so far and 9 of them have been awarded to Alba’s album. Alba is also a highly regarded record label in the world. Alba has a comprehensive global distribution network and a large part of Alba’s sales goes abroad.
Alba has released a total of more than 450 discs, of which over 130 are multi-channel SACD hybrid records. All discs released by Alba are also available in digital format on streaming and download services. Currently, about 20 records are released each year.
