Tschetschulin, Agnes (1859-1942)

Agnes Tschetschulin (1859–1942) ranks as one of the great violinists in the history of Finnish music. Also a composer, she studied at what are nowadays the Sibelius Academy and the Berlin University of the Arts and was the founding member of the professional Marie Soldat quartet of all-female players. She later taught the violin at Cheltenham Ladies’ College in England.
