Description
"KaMu is a youth choir from Kaarina, Finland. The ensemble maintains forty vocalists, and the NaMu training choir, which feeds into the youth choir, has thirty singers. Both are conducted by local music teacher and musician Mr. Pekka Nebelung. Under his firm but tender guidance the ensembles have a wide-ranging and interesting repertoire. The main goal of the choirs is to sing together, learn to sing well, and more than anything enjoy singing. In this, the ensemble’s first album, the focus is on traditional Finnish songs. Varying groups perform these tunes, including the Girls’ Choir, Youth Choir, and Children’s Choir, as well as the KaMu Quartet, an ensemble of four 15-17 year old young ladies." Naxos Direct
