Antti Leinonen studied music in Germany and Finland, graduating with a diploma in music from the Trossingen University of Music and a Master of Music from the Sibelius Academy. Leinonen has performed a great variety of contemporary music and worked in cross-disciplinary projects, such as with actors, poets and circus artists.
Leinonen has taught the accordion at the East Helsinki Music Institute for the past ten years, and has developed a new teaching method and materials for teaching the basics of accordion based on the Kodály method. Leinonen also composes music for the folk jazz band Tjango!, which he also manages.
