About this release

Nostra Culpa – Vocal Music by Eugene Birman presents Birman’s vocal music performed by the Helsinki Chamber Choir under Nils Schweckendiek. The three-part recording project takes its title from the widely discussed Twitter opera by Birman and librettist Scott Diel. The choir is joined by singer Iris Oja and the string players of Italy’s ContempoArtEnsemble. The album highlights Birman’s socially engaged music and the Helsinki Chamber Choir’s commitment to contemporary repertoire.
