About this release

Aleksei Zaitsev (b. 1995) from Outokumpu, North Karelia, is one of the most promising young piano artists in our country. Aleksei's most important teachers have been Irina Zahharenkova, and at the Sibelius Academy Hui-Ying Li-Tawaststjerna and Teppo Koivisto. Later, while living in Denmark, his artist personality was greatly influenced by the Danish-Armenian concert pianist Marianna Shirinyan, who mentored Aleksei and invited him to perform with her at many international festivals.
Concerts as a chamber musician, recitalist and orchestral soloist have taken Aleksei to concert halls all over Finland, the Nordic countries, Holland, France, the United States and Japan. Aleksei enjoys both baroque music and contemporary music and is a passionate interpreter of new music.
Zaitsev's debut solo piano album From the Street will be released in CD format on 25.03.2025 and digitally on 28.03.2025.

Reviews

Clara Schumannin nuorena säveltämä masurkka kertoo Chopin-vaikutteista sekä pianon ihmelapsen itsevarmasta soittimenkäsittelystä ja tyylieleganssista.
